This page explains what information JohnniLink stores, why it is stored, and what the app does not do.
Information JohnniLink stores
JohnniLink stores the information needed to create and manage short links.
- Destination URLs submitted when creating short links.
- Generated or custom short codes.
- Click counts for short links.
- Link settings, such as active status, expiration date, click limit, and expiry action.
- Account information needed for login, such as your email address.
- Basic account/session security information used for features like logging out of all sessions.
How information is used
JohnniLink uses stored information to provide the core features of the app.
- To redirect short links to their destination URLs.
- To show your owned links in the dashboard.
- To let you edit, disable, delete, or configure your links.
- To track click counts for links.
- To apply expiration rules, such as date limits or click limits.
- To support account login and session management.
Anonymous links
You can create short links without logging in.
Anonymous links are not attached to an account, which means they can be used immediately but cannot be managed later from the dashboard.
Account links
If you create links while logged in, those links are attached to your account so they can appear in your dashboard.
Your account is used to make sure only you can manage your own links.
Public short links
Short links are meant to be shared. Anyone with a working short link may be able to access the destination URL until the link is disabled, expired, or deleted.
Do not use JohnniLink for links that should remain private or secret.
Third-party services
JohnniLink uses Supabase for authentication and database storage.
JohnniLink is also hosted through Vercel, which may process basic technical request data needed to serve the app.
What JohnniLink does not do
JohnniLink:
- Does not run ads.
- Does not use third-party tracking scripts.
- Does not sell user data.
- Does not intentionally collect more information than needed for the app to work.
Data deletion
You can delete links you own from the dashboard.
If a link uses the delete expiry action, it may also be deleted automatically when an expiration rule is reached.
Account deletion is not currently self-service. If you want account-related data removed, please get in touch.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as JohnniLink changes or adds new features.
If the way JohnniLink handles information changes in an important way, this page will be updated to explain the change.
Updates may be made without notice, so please check this page periodically for the latest information.
